Sighting in troubles
 

I have a gamo hunter 220. i put a bsa .22 special on it and it was dead on. I got new high rings and now am haveing trouble. give me some assistence it shoots awesome with it sighted in. truehunter myb u could help sounds like u got a few squirrels with your new scope. help! im going to shoot some squirrels with a friend and i gotta be right on

Sounds to me like either the mounts aren't properly secured,maybe the ring screws aren't tight enough...or the high rings are making you get up off the stock.Why did you go to high mounts?Was the bell of the scope too close to the barrel?

i am killerinstic177 but i used to be jdfassak. I had to move to high rings because on my gun i have a screw that sticks up for a rear open sight. the screw was in the view of the gun and just below the crosshair. it was hard to find a red in a tree with no crosshairs! kinda the bell was low. i tighted the screw to your suggestion and i have cranked th scoppe in the direction it needs to got. i cant go anyfather. reply plese!

Could you remove the screw that was in the way of the scope?Then go back to the other mounts?The original open sights are in the way right?

well, if your not using the open sights ever, you could try removing them if possible. if not, just stick to the high rings. try clicking this link http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/scopemountingsetting.swfit helped me. it sounds like the rings aren't properly screwed on, make sure that both rings are screwed on and the screws to tighten the ringsaround the scope are even with each other. try looking at the groups every 3-5 shots. also, if you cocked the barrel too the side too much it could make the pellet go off. you should first try sighting in at 15 yards, then try 30 yards. another thing is that the rail could be damaged somehow.
