Blonde Squirrel
 
Hey guys i live in kentucky and this season i killed a squirrel that has blonde hair. blonde like a persons hair. i was amazed so i sent it to the taxidermist because ive never seen one and no one else has around here either. I was wanderng if anyone has ever seen one and if so what state?

i think your refering to albino squirrels? they show up just about everywhere there are squirrels.

no its not albino. it didnt have the red eyes and it wasnt white like albino squirrels that ive seen before. It was just light blonde

Maybe it got into some bleach, and wanted a new look. You know those squirrels......

Out here in western North Carolina we've got lots of them. Not alowed to hunt them though. Here they call them white squirrels.

This was taken by my nephew while he was hunting in Garret Co. Maryland. I been trying my hand at taxidermy and he wanted to know if I would mount it for him.

My nephew got it in Garret Co. Maryland. Don't know anything about them , really. This one had normal color eyes.

It is actually a gray squirrel, just different coloring. I've seen black gray squirrels but this is the first I saw this color.

i spose its just a pigment in the skin. like black squirrels and gray squirrels. just a different pigment in the color...

is it kinda like color phase bears are blonde, chocolate and cinammon. the squirrels are just color phase black and blonde

I have never seen a blonde squirrel, butI did see a blonde muskrat in one of my ponds. I tried to trap it but it never showed up.

This morning I seen 2 blonde squirrels in the front yardI have never seen a blonde squirrel but asI looked they seem to be somewhat common in the North Carolina area!so I found this website and was amazed about there actually being blonde looking squirrels my fiance said there hollywood squirrels! LOL
