Mounting a light on a rifle?
 

I have a surefire g2 that I wanna mount to my rifle. How does everyone mount their lights? I really dont wanna use any thing to harm the stock or barrel. thanks

I use the buddy system... me and my hunting partner take turns shooting and the other will spot them and shine them out... I don't know how to mount a light on a gun though.. Sorry

I got a Nightblaster 350 yard range light at cabelas for 70 bucks. it just snaps right onto your scope. works great it lights up preadtors eyeballs really well at a good distance

JHALFHILL: did you get the 6 volt or 12 volt one?? just wondering because the 12 volt one looks like it needs to be powered by a car plug....

i got the lightforce 170 and it lights up eyes at 500+ yards. it is a big light, meant for off road trucks/jeeps. i got a power adjustment knob so you can control how much juice you have going to the light. saves on the batteries. this baby is portable and rifle/shotgun mountable.

i have the 6 volt. i didnt even know they had a 12 lol. but with the red lens the 6 lights up eyes really well. without the lens its like a mini spotlight. the battery is small too so its easy to carry and it seems likt it lasts awhile. look into the 12 tho and see how big the battery is and how you will need to charge it

ya they have a 12 volt but it is weird because it doesn't say how it is powered it says it can be used with any 12 volt power supply which leads me to think that it only is powered by 12 volt socket and is not really portable like your six volt!?? so that is not the one i want i want one that goes with me in the woods like yours not just a spotlighter like we use to light up mooses in the roads!!!!!!

look at the Optronics 150 or 250 or the NiteLite Wizard scope light... all 3 are good deals for the money involved... all 3 clip right onto your scope... just make sure gun mounted lights are legal in your state...

ok ROCKFISH thanks for the info, I will look into those and yes the only illegal lights for yote are ones from a motor vehicle. The only laws on yote hunting in nh are no vehicle lights and no baiting on ice covered PUBLIC waters.
