predator calling systems
I'm wanting to purchase the Johnny Stewart Digital Preymaster system. Any pros or cons on this product? Thanks for the help!

RE: predator calling systems
i had one for about a month maybe six weeks. it soundedgood, but in cold weather it locked up alot. i returned it. for a warm weather caller i'm guessingit would have been fine.

Get a FOXPRO!!!!

RE: predator calling systems
IF I WAS TO CHOOSE I WOULD GO PRO. FOXPRO THAT IS. ;)..
A HUNTING BUDY OF MINE HAS ONE AND SHE. YES SHE!! HAS SHOT 20 YOTES OVER IT JUST THIS YEAR JMO |
RE: predator calling systems
I agree get a Foxpro I have taken mine out 1 time since I got it for Christmas and have called one bobcat and one coyote its a great call

RE: predator calling systems
I have the Preymaster and I love it. The only "con" is that its not wireless and so you have to be within 20 yds of it. It hasn't been a problem so far. If you don't have $500 to shell out for the foxpro, its a great call.

RE: predator calling systems
the Foxpro I bought was only about $150
|
RE: predator calling systems
MINE WAS 150 ALSO

RE: predator calling systems
I just see everybody with the super-delux camo remote job and that is what I was referring to. But I DO like the preymaster and the important thing to remember is that your basic hunting skills are the key. If you sit still and use the wind and all available cover, you will kill coyotes. I've heard of them being called in with a BALLOON!!
|
RE: predator calling systems
a balloon. just courious as to how you use it. blow it up and pop it. let it go with out tieing it or tie it into a dog like the clowns do. haha j/k

RE: predator calling systems
Lol, I actually read about that in a magazine. the guy said that he blew it up and streatched the opening so the air "squeeked" out the top.

RE: predator calling systems
well i beleive coyotes may come into to that psyco but i also beleive i will be sticking to my other calls. but who knows maybe some day and throw one of those in my back pack as a "back up" "back up" call incase the first two dont work:D. i would mount the yote that i killed, with the balloon in its mouth, because that would be a hunt to remember!

RE: predator calling systems
I've never hunted with one, but I did try it out in the living room and it made sort of a pittiful squeak. I'll stick to the Johnny stewart and Lil' Dog combo.

RE: predator calling systems
I have a Johnny Steward digital, and I love it, I live in Saskatchewan and it gets extremely cold and i've never had an issue of it locking up in the cold (knocking on wood). It isnt wireless as stated earlier but it comes with 60 ft of cord ( i always keep the call beside me though so i dont use it) But all in all for the price I think its a great call, between me and my buddy we are getting close to 60 coyotes this year ( not all were called in). I give the system a thumbs up, and wouldnt hesitate to buy one, if cash wasn't an issue i would get a fancy foxpro tho, but what i have works fine.

RE: predator calling systems
I've had my FoxPro FX3 for a couple months now & I can not believe how well it works. I'd never tried calling until I got the unit & have since called in 6 Bobcats & countless Crows. Buy the best & it only hurts once.:)
