22lr or 12 guage for fox
 

i plan on taking a fox in a few weeks, but i need to know what weapon would be best. The closest shot i will get is a 15 yard shot. i am going to get the skin tanned, or get the whole fox mounted. Which would be the best choice of weapon?

Imo i would use the .22 also. I shot a fox about a month ago. At 65 yards in the neck he droped straight in his tracks the bullet did exitbut it wasnt big enough to not skin him. Good luck

Definitely .22 LR because if you use turkey loads/basically the wrong sized loads, you'll blow its head off (seriously, try turkey loads on a squirrel, it's not to great of a scene).
