Not one squirrel..

I went up to my buddy's cabin in the "Endless Mountains" in PA.. I was told that he usually sees a bunch of squirrel and on a bad day still manages to get 3-4 squirrel. So I was excited. Went up there and didn't see 1, between the 3 of us that went, all day.

If there are oak trees and acorns there should be some squirrels around. Gray squirrels usually announce their presence by barking, which can be heard from a distance and they make a lot of noise when they hunt for those acorns on the forest floor when the leaves are dry. Squirrel hunting involves sitting in a spot and not moving for at least 45 minutes before moving on to another area. Patience is key, just like most of hunting.

Where I live there usely is a lot of squirrels.
I put small peacons on my picknik table and they get them.

But this yeay I put some on the tables they have been there for
At least 3 weeks and they are still there.

I think it has to do with not having any rain and they are
Where the water is.

I know over the last few years the squarrels have been diminishing in Pa. I believe its from the bob cats and the fishers that have been reintroduced in the pennsylvania woods.I could be wrong though, But that could be the reason.

Marinepride is right. You have to sit still for a few minutes for the PA squirrels to come out.
