find a sunny hillside on a crisp fall day and lay back to take a nap and when u wake up to them scurrying around they will be all over!

Everyone here and I seem to agree on the morning and afternoon for best time to hunt squirrels. But I have a little trick up my sleeve. Real squirrel hunting is done with 2 people. About 50% of squirrels make their nest with vines running to them that they put their scent on thus making it easier for them to find their home if they happen to get caught away from home at night. If ya having difficulty seeing them, find a nest with a vine, have a partner snatch it (be ready) and 70% of the time you will run em out.

I like cool crisp sunny fall days, just after a major storm front has passed through; so I can still hunt quietly along the wet forest floor. Same goes for deer hunting.
