Best way to skin squirrel
 

(All you need is a hook somewhere outside you hang them up.)

Pick a patch of hair out of the middle of the back and make a cut across big enuff to get your fingers into

Get your fingers down in there and pull the fur apart

Then hang them like this...

and pull the fur down to the feet push your thumbs threw the fur right behind the leg muslce

filp it around the hang it by the feet and do the same thing

(this pic shows cutting the head off 1st but cut the feet off 1st) by using a knife or some sort of clippers

After the head is off cut up threw the chest all the way up threw the pelvis and remove the guts.

then cut the tail and back feet off the same way.

i though i would post this bcuz people always ask how to skin em. I can skin em in about 3 mins if you do it right. If anyone wants pics on how to clean em from here let me know

i do rabbits just about the same way, goes pretty quik

I clean mine in the woods. I start off by cutting through the base of the tail until i see meat. Then stand on the base of the tail and the tail. And pull its hind legs, this pulls the hide off up to its head. Next I finish pulling off the hide around its hind quarters, followed by cutting off its legs and head. Then you gut it. I can have a squirrel cleaned in a matter of a few minutes.

I have always skinned my squirrels like DearSlayer---but check out this video. I may try this method when I finally get to go squirrel hunting on Oct 1st.

sometimes if you do it that way the tail ripps off..

Never had a problem, u just have to make sure you cut far enough through the tailand are standing solid on the base.

If you twist the tail a half turn the hide pulls off without the tail ripping off.

That was one of the coolest ways i have seen to skin a squirrel. Gorgeous work.
