RE: Best Call For A Begginer
Now is a great time to get an electronic caller. Here in KS, furharvesting season is over so the callers are all on sale. Whereas they would normally cost $250, they are now running $100. I don't know about your area, but you might want to check out the clearance items for a caller.

If you can find a Fox Pro for sale, used, that's the way to go!

I dont think youll find a used fox pro. I think a johnny stewart prey master would be good for a beginner. Fox pros are realy expensive.

If I was to do it all over again, when I was a beginner, I would buy an easy-to-use call(PC-2), along with a coyote hunting video, and with a little practice, you can be a good caller. For the $40-$50 you spend for a call and a video, you'll be better off in the long run, and enjoy calling yourself. Just takes confidence, it's not near as hard as it seems. But if you dead-set on an electronic caller, the Western Rivers/Cabelas/Johnny Stewart Cassette calls are great for the price. Just make sure you get something with a rechargable battery, and loud speaker. Good luck!
