what caliber and brand for yotes?
 

i am either going to get a .223 or a 22-250 for coyote hunting. which would be better? can you name osme of the pros and cons of each? what brand and model do you suggest? i would probably be looking at a bolt action but the action really doesnt matter to me. thanks in advance.

Yes, there is plenty of info on this topic, go to search and look for the subject. But either caliber for varmint hunting is just fine;).

both will get the job done, the 22 250 will give you more range, but will wear out the barrel faster, but for the average hunter the barrel life is long enough to last a LONG time. my cousin owns a savage and its realy accurate, but heavy because of the heavy barrel. the 223 is cheaper to shoot.

.223 is a tad slower but its easier to load for :D

I've used both, gave up on the 22-250. Harder to dial in with reloading - the 223 was easy and it works just as well.

223 is a great cartridge, solid performance, and cheap ammo

You'll do just fine with either one. 22-250 is a little faster/flatter and the .223 is cheaper to shoot!
