Deer will be moving during bow season, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. During the last week of bow alot of the smaller bucks start chasing some does. The bigger...

RE: Fort AP Hill Hunting

You could also try the Perimeter Stands. They actually go into the SA areas. Some of the PA stands are hot. Especially the ones around SA4 and SA5 if the ever open up the areas.

UFunny2, it was not Dave that killed either of them. The 16pt was killed by Teddy, and the 14pt by James. We do hunt with Dave and he comes down to Florida once a year to go fishing. I probably have...

RE: wats you view on running deer with dogs

I feel sorry for this guy. Shooting someone's dogs is like shooting a family member. It wouldn't fly where I'm from.

RE: 35mm trailcam film ??

It doesn't matter what you use. 800 always worked better for night pictures for me. Invest in a couple digitals. Moultrie makes some decent cameras for the price.

RE: I'm a newbie gearing up for spring. Need suggestions.

Quaker boy makes a good push button box call for a beginner. As far as turkey decoys go I have always been partial to Feather Flex.

I prefer Quaker Boy "Old Boss Hen" and "Pro Triple". For someone just starting out Quaker Boy makes excellent push button calls.

RE: How Bout a Rough Score

Actually he has great beams. He started to have g4's but just wasn't quite there yet. The left beam does have about a 1 inch g4. Let me see if I can get a better picture. Thanks for the input.

RE: How Bout a Rough Score

It would have been nice to have gotten him with the bow but I was using the Muzzeloader. He was definetly within bow range though. No P&Y on this one, but the european mount looks nice.

RE: How Bout a Rough Score

I might just have to put the tape on him tonight and find out for sure but I would say 130 at least. He has good mass and good brows. I actually thought he was bigger when I pulled the trigger.

How Bout a Rough Score

What are ya'lls thought on this bucks score?
And to mention he was blind in one eye. I'll take any advantage I can get!
Not a great picture angle.

The deer at AP hill have really improved the last few years. There are some impressive bucks running around up there. Starting to see a lot of deer make it to 5.5 years of age.

Opinion on deer age based on horns?

Not the Doe I was looking for, but it's meat on the table.
It was a tough decision to pull the trigger and blow my chance with the big doe I had been after all season.
