I own both. The AR (bushmaster vaminter) is a tack driver. The mini 14 is so so but a fun gun. If they are anywhere near on price the AR hands down.

I have the Phoenix and I absolutely love it. I hunted deer for years with a compound that would only shoot 190fps. Everyone I shot with it was a clean pass through. I have never been one of the speed...

I'm home now and my Phoenix was here

I got in from offshore and my new Excal Phoenix was here waiting on me. I put it all together and sighted it in with the Vari-zone. This thing shoots awesome, I love it. I've only shot it 25 yards...
