Either gun is more than capible of harvesting any game in North America........with the proper shot placement, but the 454 would certainly have the potential of ruining more meat than the 44mag would.

Remington 870 supermag in black($350)
tru-glo single bead fiber-optic sight ($20)

YES YES YES!! And you will be impressed with the pattern!! I use an extended super-full choke, with flight control hevi-shot, just make sure that the choke is rated for hevi-shot, and your good to go
