i have already been fletching arrows 3 years now this way, but i use six feathers @ 2.5", Just really like how the arrow flies and looks, personal preference thing.

I use the steel inserts from Archery Past. Have the 125grain steel insert that screws into the aluminum insert and glue on a 145 grain Grizzly broadhead. Which puts me a little over 650 grain...

Recurve vs Longbow-- draw length

On a recurve do you have a longer draw than that of a longbow? The recurve bow has a much longer shelf than that of a longbow, is it the same or different? Just curious to know...

I sold a Damon Howatt Hunter on ebay, a 55# @28", and was surprised what it ended up going for, i got a little over 300 for it, but there also was a bidding war towards the end of the auction for it.

It could be a too low of brace height on the bow, you may have to give a couple of twists on the string. I know if i have a low brace on my bow i tend to get wrist slapped at times.
