I've got an SX2 a Beretta Urika and an old Winchester 1400 (that still shoots fine). My son has a Rem1100. If I had tochose between the four, I wouldprobably choose theUrika butonly by a slight...

Personally I feel the 7mm Rem Mag is a great all around deer to elk cartridge. However the 7mm-08 and 308 are great all around loads also anddo a fine job on elk using the Hornady Light Magnum loads....

RE: Winchester Super X3 Shotgun

+1 on the 20ga. I have an SX2 (same internals) in 12ga and it is a great shotgun. I am presently in the market for a 20ga autoloader and would grab one in a split second.

I have a friend that stores his ammo in his safe with his guns. I questioned that practice but he said it didn’t get hot enough inside a safe during a house fire to cook off the ammo.

I know...

RE: I need a recomendation on a centerfire

My personal preference for a mid priced gun would be a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in .308 or 7mm-08. Either cartridge will do the job you want without hurting the shoulderand the Sporter is an...

I've never bought a gun from Walmart but don't have a problem dealing with them. The reason I haven't bought a gun from them is that they normally carry the very basic guns in stock and that is the...

Both are fine cartridges but personally I would (and did recently)go withthe 308 unless you are going to routinely shoot bullets of 200 grains (the 308 doesn't seat those as well as the 06).In...

RE: Super X2 vs. Super X3

I have a SX2 and it is an extremely fine shotgun. No problems with it at all. I haven't shot a SX3, so I cann't say about that, but so farI cann't see any reason why I would trade my SX2 for an SX3.

Between the two rounds you mentioned, if you handload ordo not - get the 308. Slightly more accurate and definitely less kick with no noticable difference in effectiveness hunting.
