Where I hunt there is a strong, earthy smell to the environment... I tend to sit down on a ridge wall so I rub alot of the dirt into my clothes while waiting for the action to pick up.

I don't get into the "ranch hunting" thing... to me that's just some pampered, rich guy's way of going out and hunting an easy trophy beast so he can mount it and look like "one of the boys", but...

Thanks for the advice... I don't know why, can't explain it, but right now (and actually since day 1) the more stripped down my bow was the better it felt.. I will admit I'm not 100% accurate,...

I have to agree on the hesitation to overly promote the sport... I can see welcoming in true hunters, friends who want to get out in the woods, the real woods.... but commercial promotion always...

Yeah, the meat is difficult to describe... its not great meat, its not a huge amount of meat, but skinning out a groundhog for meat only takes about a half an hour or so and the meat source is...

Okay cool.... my typical hunting spot is actually a ridge wall over a creek so that won't be a problem... and the same creek runs along our cabin so no problem there either

I've only used a grunt call one time (an adjustable) so I really can't recommend their usefulness other than I did shoot a 5 pointer that day.... so maybe it works, maybe not. This is a bit...

with a groundhog it makes an absolute mess... course there's not alot of meat on a groundhog to begin with

Yeah, I was pretty sore yesterday but I pushed myself... got in around 3 hours...
granted, half of that was walking to the end of the yard, looking for stray arrows (a lesson in itself) and walking...
