I think that a lighted nock is almost a must have. I have tried lumenocks and they were very inconsistant. There are many others out there to choose from. I switched over to Tracer Nocks by Easton....

U.S. Army for over 21 years (Nov 86-present) and still going.
First 4.5 was in the Airborne Artillery, the rest has been as a Med Lab Tech.
Been stationed at Ft Sill, Ft Benning, Ft Bragg, Ft Sam...

I've never heard of mounting the jar to the tree, but I've heard about smearing peanut butter on the side of the tree about 3 feet high. I might try it out next week.

I believe that this type of mushroom can only retain that shape for a short period of time. As it gets older, it will lose it's firmness and begin to droop.

It seems like I hear every sound in the woods when I'm walking in the dark. I've had the crap scared out of me (almost literally) by a deer blowing, snorting, and wheezing about 5 yards away from me...
