the vortex has a 12 volt motor, run off of a 12-volt deep cycle battery... A mess to carry in, but well worth it if you are hunting somewhere that you can ride a boat, fourwheeler, or haul a cart...

Plenty of ducks on public lands and WMA's, just make sure you get the necessary permits as well. You can go to www.agfc.com and download the waterfowl regulations guide book to check out the laws...
