Well, I went back to the same spot on Friday. I saw a small buck but never could get a good look at his antlers. Then I saw two does. Not sure when I'll get back out there.....

trig, there are many manyunits that have "unlimited" tags for elk. You don't have to be drawn for these. Go to the CO DOW website, and/or call them, they are very helpful and the website has the kill...

Yep, goin on my 1st DYI elk trip. I'm pretty darn excited about it too. I'm havin trouble focusing on anything else. We just didn't have the extra $$$ for a left-over mulie tag.[:@]

TFOX, please correct if I'm misled,but isn't the "length of the arrow" measured without the broadhead and insert. I was under the impression that it was measured from the bottom of the knock groove...
