You need to collar condition your dog first...Just let him/her wear it when your out having fun ...leave the control's in the box. I do this for a week or two before actual use. Remember...the collar...

My 1 year old lab is the same way....never mess's in his kennel. he stays in the house with the family at night, then I air him first thing in the morning just before I kennel him for the day while...

Tank really "LOVE'S" his...We hunt some pretty icey water's and the neopream[sp?] really help's. he's had to make some long retrieve's around 100 yd's and back, so I know the floatation devise help's...

Make sure the parent'ship's, elbow's and eye's have been certified, and i'd want a history of the family tree to make sure it come's from hunting blood.

Get the book: "10 Minute Retriever" by John & Amy Daul.....Awesome book...well worth the $$$'s.....it's how to make an obedient & enthusiastic gun dog in 10 minute's a day.

Have never delt with Innotek. I've got a tri-tronic, have had the same one now for 3-4 year's and have never had a bit of problem with it...Don't know what their service department's like...never had...
