ya 50 yards, and he went just over the embankment. I shot him dead center in the neck, with 30-06 Nosler partions.

There right use the Nosler's I dumped my Bull with them, they will do the damage, so dont shoot in the neck if your planning on mounting it up, cause it will blow a hole in it.....

Well considering we weighed it, and not only that, who do you know that ends up with 430lbs of meat?.....they may take in that much with the bone, but Ive guided for quit a few years and have packed...

I was on public land, I dont hunt private.....Guess I dont know anyone that has land. I had a good year, did a lil bear hunting, but Im picky now that I shot that Idaho Book bear...kinda hard to beat...

Ya you can either flesh it out and salt it and put it in a garbage bag, then when you get home let it breath and re-salt. or freeze it and put it in a cooler with dry ice.

Im in Idaho...ya he was an old bull his neck was 34 inches and from eye to nose was 12 and a half inches

Cubs depend on the mom for 2 years, so dont shoot em, ya wanna hunt bears later right? I use Liquid smoke to spray in the trees but at this time they start to find some sleep time.

That Bear is 300 to 325 when you look at the pad, measure the pad and if its 5 inches across you add 1 that means its a 6 foot bear, Ive killed tons of bears, and when i bait I always can judge the...

The guys that suggest 165 grain for your odd 6 are correct. I use the Federal Nosler ballistic tips they are the best true flying bullet that does a tremendous amount of damage and puts em down.

You can get paid for your hide, anywere from 60 to 100 dollars on a decent hide. some places might want the claws and skull, but some fly shops like the hair for there flys, so theres another option...

What I use that is very affective is alot of liquid smoke and popcorn, its cheap and the scent will carry for quit awhile, Ive taken a few big ones and most big bears feed at night.

I have used that gun, for years, Killed Elk, bear, and deer that is a great brush gun, not only that but bears are built soft. You'll do well with it.

Solution......you have her go buy an expensive tree, have her plant it. As she cares for the tree, and watches it grow, then come fall hopefully a nice buck comes and rubbes it...
