I am lefthanded and purchased the Browning A-bolt Stainless Stalker. Unless you need the beauty of wood and blued steel, the SS is the easier gun to care for and hunt with.

How do you sharpen expandables???

I use the 100 grain Rocket Steelheads, and some of the blades have tiny nicks but are otherwise in good shape.

Does anybody have tips or tricks on sharpening techniques and tools???

I would use a premium bullet of at least 140 grains. The 7mm08 is 100-200 fps slower than the .280. Nobody would question the .280 for your situation. At what range would the .280 kill the deer...
