Mornings seem to be the best where Iam. ( 8am to 9am) then evenings come second ( 4pm to dusk) ....but all the real big boys are usually between 11 am and 3 pm....I have a saying...

I use a spotting scope when hunting fieldsand I find that many times Iam using in low light. I would go with the 20x60x80 the bigger the lenses more light it gathers.

12 mule deer 2 bucks rest does and fawns

5 bull elk

cow and calf moose

and a lonely coyote after a lone grouse

I agree that it dosent bother the deer. I seen a example done and they put out human urine, and others kinds.A buck came right in and was sniffing and testing the human pee with his nose in the air...
