My 44 mag with 240 JHPs works best for me. I'm looking for another gun, though, and don't like to track.

the deerfield handles very well...very reliable, lightweight, and carries well. it comes with a factory ghost ring, which is nice, but I have mine topped with a fixed 4x

You can put a limb saver recoil pad on the shotgun for about $25-30, and it will reduce the recoil to pretty much nothing. However, I don't know how accurate he can be at 100 yards with a foster slug...
