That mid to large bore rounds like the 35 Rem., .444 Marlin, and the 45/70 shoot "through" brush better than other cartridges like the 30-06, 270 ect...

That "high" velocity bullets expand LESS...

The 350 RM is so over powered for deer, i can't imagine any of the 180 or 200 grain bullets not working well on them...

I've shot several moose with a 350 RM, and i prefered the 250's over the...

Between those two, i'd stay with the NP's for elk... They open a bit faster than the TBBC's, but still will give all the penetration you will need on elk... I like the fact that they open a bit...

bronko - Did you exclude shooting at game? NO - and i've spent enough time on the shooting range and in the game fields to know that 99.9% of the folks shooting at animals shouldn't be shooting past...

Some folks tighten them down like they really are bolts! But they are screws and they don't need to be over tightened. As was said, doing so WILL ruin your scope...
