On my person my 1911 is always C1, my DA/SA pistols always sit with a round in the chamber and hammer dropped ready to go in DA.

At home I actually prefer to keep them loaded WITHOUT a round in...

The best price I've seen is the Camo 870 Supermag WalMart sells for $379........plus it has a $30 mail in rebate.
You WILL NOT beat that price for a new one.

The Jake is much heavier than the hen, I bet he's upwards of 4lbs or so? So no they don't carry like a Feather flex. LOL
The carry bags that come with them while serviceable are very light scratchy...

No experience with that load through mine (.665) but it really likes Hevi13 #6's.
the 3.5" / 2.25oz and the 3"/ 2oz loads.
Those 2 seem like the standard that many people start with using an IC...

Yep Hevi13 only makes one 12ga model 3.5", 2 1/4oz #6 load.
If you want peace of mind open the box and they should be a gold colored hull.

I like them so much I just picked up 3 more boxes, 5...

Just a couple stats on those 2 bucks.....Franks has 6" bases and scores 142 4/8" with only an 11" inside spread. Frank kept the jawbone from his buck but we haven't had anything "Officially" done...

One thing to consider which almost sounds dumb is to pick a gun you'll actually carry.
Too many guys buy a certain pistol because of reputation or looks only to find out it's heavy or uncomfortable...
