Congrats on your first bow kill. I am also in my second year and still waiting on my first with the bow. I was fortunate to get one last year with my shotgun. But I like bowhunting much better.

My wife also supports my hunting and also hunts with me from time to time. She would go more but her job keeps her extremly busy. So I guess I am pretty lucky.

The only draw back of a wife...

Don' t use it this time of year. Skeeters love that stuff and will eat you alive. Unfortunately speaking from experience. Works well once the skeets are gone.

I' m 47 and just got into it last year. I have a PSE Firestorm Lite set at about 25 1/2 and 58 pounds. Plenty fast. So I would say yes, go for it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I do try to be as scent free as possible. Wash everything in the "Dirt Soap" as my wife refers to it. And keep it hanging outside. Going today to buy some rubber...
