RE: Catocktin mountain MD

Only parts of the mountain are public land. Check the regs. Its like a pumpkin patch during gun season. Small mountain deer. I would not pay out of state fees to hunt it unless its your only option....

Dry Ice

Can or will dry ice ruin a cape/hide if using it to keep them cold when in transport? Should the hide/cape be bagged, double bagged etc? Time in transport about 18 hours.

Thanks

If I were you and you really want to pistol hunt go with the 44 mag as...

RE: cleaning deer skull?

Boiling is probally the cheapest way to do it but be careful, boil it too long and the bone/cartiledge down by the nose area will become soft and break. Trust me, I have seen and had it happen.

RE: elk neck state park

Bow season in my opinion is the best time to hunt any place. Less pressure. If you know deer are there then hunt it, at worst you spend a day in the woods.

RE: cost of maryland bowhunting license

Google maryland dnr or just go to the link under resources on this sites main page. The dnr website has all fees. Off the top of my head resident license is 24.50 and a bow stamp is 5.00 I think.

RE: No Dogs?

On long retrieves where you can not walk outor you do not have a boat. You use a treble hook with the barbs pinched down to get your DEAD fowl via casting liking fishing. Do not snare live birds.
