RE: .257 weatherby

I'd look at H1000, H4831, Retumbo, R-25, or 7828 under the 115 Berger and ignited by a magnum primer

As for brass just buy some 7RM if you can't find 257. One drop of the press and...

The only drawback I...

RE: .257 Weatherby Magnum.

I've ran a bit of H4831 in my Roy with 100's and found it to be very consistant, however I found it's velocities trailed those of H1000, Retumbo, and R25 by a good 100fps or so with the various 100's...

RE: .257 Weatherby Magnum.

Nothing kooky about reloading the Roy....mine perks on H1000 and 100gr Sciroccos @ just under 3600fps.

100gr NBT's are great bullets tooand will work well on speed goats

I talked to you a while back about this load and decided to give H4831 a go. My 700 lovesit but hits it's limit @ 69grs for 3200fps. H1000 and Retumbo give me just over 3300. Just goes to show every...

RE: Leupold for my first centerfire rifle

VX-III or newer VX-3 if you've got the coin though there's no flies on a good ol' VX-II 3-9x40. I'd have been thrilled with a VX-I for my first rifle.

You also might want to look at Pentax as...

RE: Loads for 7 mm R.M. and 140 gr TSX

I run H1000 w/ 140TTSX . . . . found it to be a bit more consistant than 22 when the temps dropped. I shot 22 for a while but when I would go from 70 to 20 degrees I would lose like 150fps and groups...

My main elk/bear load is a 168TTSX @ 3450fps via Retumbo.....this one makes stuff dead in a hurry!
