Actually recoil isn't that bad, and that is due to the weight of the rifle. I have shot it with 150 to 200 grains 2F and it is accurate with all. I do like 170 to 180 grains.

The trick to using a maxi or Conical type bullet in a roundball twist is light weight. for the 50 caliber a 300 is best but 350 will work and a max powder charge anything less will not yield good...

No you are all wrong, if you shoot a longbow you know they are faster, actually the recurve has a slight advantage, but not by much these days.

If it is a modern glass bow, it can be left strung indefinetly. I bought an Howwat that wasn't unstrung for 15 years, still drew 56# and was fast.
