RE: ? on breech plug grease

I use the anti sieze grease that you buy in the automotive section for spark plugs. Works great.

RE: cleaning the omega

I just pull the breach plug and use a foaming bore cleaner. Let it set for an hour then run four or five patches through. I dont see any need to pull the stock.

RE: striker wood...

I like a purpleheart for slate and a diamondwood or other harder striker for glass. Plum makes a good all around striker also.

These are my 2 Florida bucks for this year. Not much on racks but they made some great sausage.:)

RE: gobbling

That would be awesome to hear that at this time of year.
Tell those birds to take it easy until I get down there in April. I would hate for them to get a bad case of lockjaw between now and then....

RE: Do you care how "easy" your hunting is?

Easier is fine with me. I would rather see 3 or 4 bucks each day than the 3 or 4 each season that I do now. I would gladly trade hunting spots with you.

Mine always fly the same. Ive compared the practice blades with broadheads extensively and there is no difference in the fllight. At least with my setups.

RE: What catch's your attention???

The sound / tone is what I look for. Good all around tone is important. I especially like the exotic wood pot calls. The ones that are purty and sound great to.:D

RE: How do you know when the tail is done curing?

It should be cured/ dried enough. Now apply some putty / bondo to the base and you're ready to mount. Next time just remove as much flesh as possible and coat it with borax..

If your broadheads are shooting lower than your field points of the same weight, why is it recommended that you lower your nocking point? Wont this also move the point of impact for the field points?...

RE: What is jumping the string??

Just be sure to aim at the bottom 1/3 of the deers vitals. Deer, more often than not, react when you release that arrow. Wether its the muffled sound of the string or the arrow in flight.

RE: Turkeys ignore pop up blinds?

Ive never seen one spook from a blind. Ive had hens within a couple of feet from blinds that I put up that morning. Deer, on the other hand, seem to get a little leary unless its brushed in good.
