I bow hunt on my 16 acres. 14 are wooded and our house is on the 2 cleared acres at the front of the property. The type of property and surrounding properties may be just as important as the 10-20....

Thanks guys ! After getting shut out last year (not even a shot at one ) it was nice to get one early and restore my confidence. She's a bit bloated in the pic but was still pretty good sized.

Yeah, it is/was doing great. I've cut it several times this summer with all the rain we've had. That's exactly what I told the wife....wanted to put in some turnips or something this fall any way.

Thanks haystack. I've read where the deer usually don't eat them til after a frost which causes them to sweeten up. Is the chickory the grass like one in the center of this pic ? I think a weed eater...

I planted it March 24th.I'm pretty happy with it. Some of the brassicas are almost a foot tall.

1st food plot

I saw a 1/2 price bag of Premium Perennial and thought I'd give it a go.This is my first attempt at a food plot. It's only 350' long and 8' to 10' wide but it's a start.

Hey All.....During an unrelated hospital visit last month a cancerous tumor was found on my sisters thyroid. She is having surgery tomorrow to have her whole thyroid and some lymph nodes removed....

rookie....I believe you'll need a non res hunting license ( $130) and a non res deer permit ($60). $190 total for 2 deer. 1 buck and 1 doe or 2 does.
