22-250
25-06
270....Jack O'Conner loved this round
30-06
375H&H mag

22-250....don't use on deer

Savage 30-06 w/ scope strap $250 at walmart

I was looking to retire a 30-06 my Dad handed down to me some time ago. Most of my other rifles are Rugers but I wanted something inexpensive but accurate that I could bang around in the woods with...

RE: Everything was perfect until "CLICK"!!! Bye 10 pt.

Things could be worse. It could have gone "click" at a charging GRIZZ. Of course we would have not heard about your story.

RE: 3 1/2" Mag....Schedule the plastic surgery now?

I use a browning gold, 26" barrel, semiauto, 3 1/2" mag with an undertaker aftermarket choke. On top I've mounted a red dot scope. I also cammo tapped the whole gun. With all that I added to the...

I read an article about this once upon a time but it has been a long time ago and I can't remember where it was from or even if it was a reputable source. Just b/c it was in print doesn't mean it...

RE: A Specific .30-06 Question

I agree with the lighter two weights 150 and 165. I don't use the exact type that you have described. I use silver tip rem 165. I usually find the bullet just under the skin on the other side of...

I could be wrong here but I think that the democrates are not bringing up the gun issue because they got spanked in the last election. I also think that they are going to get a little more feed back...

RE: Elk,moose,bear gun. 300,340 or 30-378Wby

check the head space of the bullets.

You are shooting a hot round through sort of an old gun. The barrel could be worn next to the head of the bullet. Move the bullets out of the case a little...

RE: Looking for new rifel cartrage

I love the 30-06 round. Unless you want longer range or bigger game, I would not go up to the 300 or the 7mm.

If you intend to go after deer, try a 270. The 270 will do everything the 30-06 will...

RE: Best caliber for under 100 yards ?

With all due respect....any long range rifle that is effective, will also be effective at short range. A 7mm ultra mag will kill at 400+ yards and it will also kill at 50 yards.

I would ditch the...

RE: DEER & BIGFOOT! What's that noise?

I believe in bigfoot.
