RE: The ole .30-30???

I would part with every gun I own before I part with my Marlin 30-30. It has been years since its taken a deer, but it is still my favorite hands down. All because my dad gave it to be then I was 14.

RE: Please talk me out of buying a new rifle...

I say buy the Remington then put it in the safe with your new Sako. Maybe they will "hook up". Next time you will open the safe to find 2 little RemKos.

RE: how often do you shoot?

I get to the range several times a week. The best part is I get paid for it and the ammo is free.:)
Most of the time I'm shooting a Rem 700 LTR, but I sneek in time on the deer rifles as well.

I used to really like the original Aetec. My dad had good luck with the old Prohunter 4-12X40. It has been on his .270 for several years with no problem what so ever.

How do you determine the correct tip weight anyways? what is it based upon ?
