I wouldn't recommend sleeping in a stand, harness or not. I've actually got down and slept at the base of my tree before. I didn't kill that morning so I can't really say if it's a good plan or not.

I think he would be lucky to go 120, not much mass or tine length. Good spread though and pretty gnarly rack.

I don't have any input on the 500, but I've been shooting an 870 for 12 years (the same one). Can't beat it in my opinion. It's been on the bottom of lakes, beaten on boat rides, and used as an oar...

Never used a decoy strictly as a confidence decoy, but I guess it could work. Just make sure you take care of the decoy the way you would if you were using it later in the year (ie. scent control).

I always wear one. Used to wear a Hunter's Safety System, but the dog got ahold of it. Now I just have one of the ones that comes with most new stands. If you don't wear one for yourself, wear it...

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with a 15' ladder stand for around $60, and they come with a harness.

We have always put the camera stand where we could step from the seat of the hunter's stand to the platform of the camera stand. This has seemed to work very well for us. In one instance, though, we...

Spend as much time scouting and hanging/moving stands as you do trying to CHEAT, and you will probably be just as successful. By cheating, I mean where it is illegal. If baiting is legal, more power...
