That is amazing information to me mudder. So.... anybody want to buy a REALLY cheap call? I'm selling grass calls :D;)

Hmmm, never knew about the blade of grass. Funny thing is we used to do that all the time as kids. I'll still do it now if our dogs run out of my normal whistling distance (I can't whistle lol).

There are really many answers to your questions...

1. You can get the wood at a lumber yard, some scrap you have around the house, or you can specialty order online.... slate, if not buying in...
