Yeah that's something I started doing a little bit after that.......some bows I've tried definitely shot cleaner after I split the pad and strike plate, and it IS easier on the shelf side...

Yep.

Also when you set your shelf material make sure you leave a gap or "trough" between the shelf pad and the strike plate or material you use (I use seal for both)
Then index your nocks so...

Most likely yes........
3 under applies a much different pressure on the string and arrow. If the bow isn't tillered for 3 under (even tiller) then generally speaking you should expect to have to...

THey fly with a slight kick or whip because they are WAY overspined for your bow. Try shooting one without any fletching and tell me what they do.......my guess is that they fly to the target badly...

Shooting 3 under try that middle finger in the corner of your mouth and not your pointer........see if your shooting doesn't improve almost immediately.
