well look the chain over especially the pins that hold the links together. if not that bad just get the wrap. I might replace mine just to be on the safe side after this yr. I use the api grandslam...

I havent changed mine either I just replace the wrap when it gets cracked and busted up. I work for a electrical dist and can get the heat shrink tubing, works real good better then the oringinal..
