Thanks for all the detailed instructions! I am curious - what is the function of the strainer on the bottom of the can? Is it to keep the muzzle up off the crud on the bottom?

I have a Traditions Break Open and instructions call for immersing in 8-10 inches of soapy water. But I now have a scope. What should I do? I would think removing the scope would require re-sighting...
