Not at all. I was just saying that it's not a course that will teach someone gunsmithing. Maybe the basic knowledge of guns but gunsmithing requires a lot of hands-on training. How long did it take...

One of my Sgt's graduated that course too. I don't consider that a legit certification. You don't even get any hands on work. Just reading and taking a test or two doesn't make someone a gunsmith.

I repair small arms for the USMC but I don't consider myself a Gunsmith. We do have a Precision Weapons Repairman in my shop and he does a lot of Gunsmithing on the sniper rifles, MEU(SOC) 1911's,...
