Prison hunt was a bust. The person that was supposed to be running it screwed it up drove 52 miles for nothing. No more sunday hunts at the bombing range this year(sucks) won't get to hunt till next...

Future ex-wifes car blew a head gasket, (guess cars don't take on the personalalities of thier owners!!!!!!!!) & helping with that. So, no hunt this morning, supposed to storm tomorrow for the state...

No luck lately, heard some birds but it's public land and they are getting call shy. thursday night son got a DUI, they closed the bombing range because of the budget and the eyes fell off my hen...

No joy, had 2 birds talking this morning, could'nt seal the deal. this afternoon took # 3 son out saw 4 jakes and a hen but could'nt get them in either. Got a call from the Shaw AFB wildlife manager...

opening day big jake

Killed a nice jake this morning, set up in a bay, had the bird come out in front of me, he hung up and then hens started clucking and purring behind me. The jake came in on a string.
