1st- No Mr. Fraley... I do not shoot an aluminum BLR 81. Mine is from 1989 and has been my closest allie in the rifle deer camp for years. I strictly handload for it and can shoot 1-1 1/4 " groups...

Feathers are very light compared to vanes( 3 grams vs 6-8grams).Feathers are more forgiving than vanes if they strike the rest or a small branch, etc during release allowing the arrow to restabilize...
