Mk-m...I think you did the right thing by hanging onto the 1187 and getting the 870. I' m a Winchester guy myself, but anytime I can see a guy pull off the double like that, I feel proud of him....

Probably not as bad as you think. I' ve had them on pretty tight on my 1300, but get the wrench (any gunsmith/gun shop should have or be able to get you one) and it' ll pop off.

Be patient. They' ll come thru for you. Best looking magazine there is from the various Federations/Unlimiteds. It takes longer than you' ld think to get the ball rolling, but you' ll get it.

Winchester 1300. Try getting a nice short barrell for it too. No need for the 3.5 inch. More turkeys have died by a 3 inch shell than 3.5' s to date.
