I currently have a 3.5'' 12 gauge and do alot of crane and goose hunting. My question is what am I gaining by switching (getting)to a 10 gauge?

Other than resistance to the elements, what am I getting out of a stainless barrel? All my guns are stainless, however I am considering a blued barrel on my next rifle just because of the price...
