First, do a little research and make sure that it will not cause damage to your weapon by dry firing it (it is okay for some, not okay for others). If you are unsure, you can buy dummy...

Remington Model 700, .270win. A great gun, the only downside is that I got the basic 3-9 scope and higher light collection would be nice (since deer are most active at dawn and dusk anyway).
