Big 10

Looking for ideas on what this guy would score. I'm clueless when it comes to scoring but this sure seems like a big boy to me.

RE: KS RUT....what have you seen?

I sat two of my stands Saturday night and Sunday morning. I think the cold front and wind had them locked up pretty tight in my NE KS. Saw the south bound end of a pretty big north bound deer...

RE: borrowing money to buy land

Howler, you're absolutely right, there is no guarantee of income for a farmer, but that's part of the thrill, isn't it?

ParrotHead, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. You're doing very well...

RE: Heading to Kansas and need.......

Pretty quiet in NE KS last weekend. Saw one buck cruising only and kicked up a buck bedded down with the resident doe over the hill from the folks' house. Bigger bucks have been locked down on does...

RE: borrowing money to buy land

chief400, I'm looking into it too. I'm not in Parrot Head's boat having enough cash to buy $100k+ of land in cash (on a teacher's salary, no less) so I'll be having to find a loan like you.

The...

RE: seeding logging roads

Jesus, you weren't kidding, Doughboy. That's some monster grass. Should have bailed it and made some money. ;)

Are you still mowing? WHy not just roundup a trail through there and leave it tall?...

RE: Up close and personal!!

Getting up close and personal is awesome. I was sitting in some crp last weekend and had a doe see me, come up to about 5 yards, stare me down, stomp a foot then turn around head back the other way...

RE: Missed a Coyote Tonight

Got a shot off myself last weekend. I've seen the same little bugger three weeks in a row blow through the same bedding area spooking all the deer at around the same time every morning. This time i...

RE: 251 ks nontypical

Yeah, so much for the Big Buck contest this year. I heard they worked out a deal with him and are going to mount it and put it up in there. I sure hope so. Wonder how much something like that would...

RE: I've come to the conclusion that I suck.

This is the 2nd season I've deer hunted. Last year consisted of me buying a rifle a week before the season, then setting on a bucket in the woods for about two hours in 5 degree temp opening weekend...

RE: kansas rut!

Anyone have any luck over the weekend? The wind was miserable. A neighbor told me he saw a "monster" so I deviated from my plan and wasted an afternoon and most of a morning sitting on a tiny thicket...

RE: kansas rut!

I was in the stand in NE KS (Western Doniphan County) Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. I haven't seen much rub activity to speak of. There some small older rubs, but nothing like I saw last...
