Ok i'll probally get the 338 then. The people i found in my area selling these said they think its a little much for him? But that 2 against it and 8 or 9 that say he can handle it.

Well for which ever gun he gets Limb Saver makes a good recoil pad dont they. Would a regular 3X9X40 scope be fine.

It works fine. But i'v just heard stuff going both ways with 270 on larger game. Thanks for all the help. Hes about 6 foot 150 to 160 pounds probally.

Hes got a 270 right now. He uses Benelli Nova with 3 1/2 inch magnums for Turkeys. It wouldnt kick that hard would it?

My grandson is going to be 15 in April. And hes wanting a 338 magnum could he handle the recoil of a 338. Hes an experienced hunter.

I killed an elk last year with my 270. I took 2 steps and fell over backwards. I think i was using 130 grain Winchester SilverTip or Remington 150 grain Power Point but i think it was the SilverTip.

Any suggestions on any hunting ranches that have diffrent types of animals that arent super expensive. Maybe Sika deer would they be relitvily less expensive?

i meant i dont want to hunt white tails or mule deer. We own lots of land that we deer hunt on. But thanks for the suggestions on where to deer hunt.

I shoot 3 1/2 magnums out of my 12 gauge for turkey season but i doubt that compares to a 338. Im going to check at gun shop tomorrow and see if they have encores if there open tomorrow.

The Pro hunter you can inter change barrels on it to cant you like shotgun muzzle loader or rifle? I found them on this one web site for 684 i think but the only ones they had in stock on the pro...

just be sure your hid good cause other wise your going to have trouble getting your gun up to shoot.. when ever you'v got time you should drive around and scout out places to hunt

The buck is marking its territory i think.. They do that to show other bucks that its their territory and i think they urinate on their rub after making it. Im not 100% sure on that one tho.. I'd say...
