The deer should be atleast starting to think about the rut, I live/hunt in eastern Iowa, and have been watching a few deer as they have been sniffin butts already.

I tend to agree with NYBUCKBoy on this one. Don't try to drag a biggen by yourself, a buddy of mine broke two points off trying to a big iowa buck out of the timber by himself.

Hello everyone,
I have all the little things, just need the bow setup. and for the record, I am not willing to spend $900 (I know my wife isn't for sure) I am always looking for a deal.

It was right before they moved from Camp Minneatta, to Camp Loud Thunder permanently. I never did get my merit badge though, LOL

Hey thanks for the reply, the land is privately owned, and there will be no more than 4 others out hunting this same area. In the past, we have seen deer down low early, and up top late, I am up top....

I hunt in eastern Iowa, clinton/jackson county line. I am wondering what I can do to increase my success during our early shotgun season, post rut, in december.
