Just to jump in on this thread. I know that it is an old thread. Calf fries are pretty darn good. I eat them every chance I can. That was one thing that was looked forward to at weaning time.

It should be better. Just like a steer or a barrow. How old was the buck? That really doesn't matter either. But I would think the meat would be better than any testosterone charged buck chasin' does.

2 1/2 hrs. door to door. I can make it in 2hr and 15 min.if I'm feeling lucky and really push it. But it is usually 2 1/2 exactly everytime.

I try to keep in my mind that at any second the big one is going to walk out and if I'm moving he will see it. Try to get as comfortable as possible. By that I mean good cushion, warm or cool clothes...

The only difficulty I have with mine is that my scopeis mounted very low and the bolt handle catches the cover. I can use the objective side, just can't use the eyepiece end. I use 1/2 of a bikini...
