Toughest Gun Cases

In your opinions, what are the toughest gun cases on the market?

Really looking for a double rifle/shotgun case. Brands that are good and others to stay away from?

Properly field dressing & quartering

Can anyone point me toward a good write-up on how to properly field dress and quarter a deer for the freezer.

RE: Is he happy or what?

He didn't kill that squirrel with that BB gun did he? That thing probably puts out less than 2 ft lbs, 8 ft lbs is the humane minimum for squirrel gun. Congratulations though!

Havn't seen it mentioned around here though it might have been... You guys heard of the new season shot. Your game is now seasoned before you ever get it back home on the grille. No more lead pellets...

RE: What .22

Marlin 60 or 7000 you can't beat for the money. My 60 shoots 3/4" or so groups at 50 yards with high velocity bulk ammo. I hear the 7000 is a bit more accurate. Stay away from the cheapo Mossbergs.

RE: Help me choose a .22

Yeap, thanks. They sure are. Still the most fun rimfire I've ever messed with.

Old Rossi 62A I believe it is. Pump .22 LR. Will also handle shorts and longs. Exposed hammer. My dad has one, pretty neat little shooter. It's was probably made early 80s, one in good to excellent...

RE: Why is this happening.

Hmm... about 5 to 7 years ago my dad used to work on a pecan orchard... that's where we did most of our hunting. The other place we went hunting was at a friend of my uncles. I got a new Marlin 30AW...

RE: Buffalo Gun?

It's just the sport of it. Takes a lot of skill to get close enough for a kill. Besides that, who doesn't want to say, "my pellet gun will shoot clean through a buffalo." Being a big fan of airguns...

RE: What is your Squirrel hunting RIFLE rig?

Marlin 60 ... but if you want to make it a lot more fun, try using adult airguns. Capable of much better accuracy than rimfires, but in most cases you need to get closer and place shots more...
